I extend a special thanks to those wonderful clients who have taken the time to write to me, and for allowing me to share their comments here and throughout my website.
Even though these folks have told me that I could use theirs’ and their childrens’ names, confidentiality is sacred in my profession so I do not feel comfortable doing so. I have therefore changed any identifying information.

It’s been a year since J. was assessed by you and I wanted to write and thank you again and give you an update. Thanks to your clinical skills J. is now flourishing not only at school but at home as well. We still have a ways to go academically, but he’s made significant progress rather than continuing the pattern of falling further behind. J. has much more self confidence and the many behavior problems we were having have all but disappeared! Without your help we would still be trudging down the wrong road. I can’t tell you how many times we’ve read your report and referred to your recommendations for “the next step.” J. still sometimes asks about when he’ll see you again. We should probably come back to see you this summer for an update.

The evaluations completed by Dr. Moleski for our two sons, G. and H., was instrumental in changing the course of their school placement and therefore school experience. At the time Alta California Regional Center was denying H.’s client status because of grossly inadequate testing completed by the school district. We were in the process of going to a hearing to contest the regional center’s denial. After regional center received the assessment completed by Dr. Moleski on H., it took only a few days for regional center to request that we withdraw from the hearing, as regional center conceded H. was clearly eligible.
The assessment Dr. Moleski completed on H. also became the driving force behind securing an ideal school setting with an eight student to five adult ratio. H. is doing exceedingly well in that environment considering his level of disability. With this new and more appropriate school environment, many negative behaviors improved or became extinct. It was not until he was in this new school setting did we realize the amount of stress H. was experiencing in the mainstreamed class setting. This stress was causing many problematic behaviors.
With G., the assessment Dr Moleski completed revealed significant auditory processing difficulties. The school had been providing only School Based Instruction, rather than qualifying him for special education. The school was dragging their feet with defining a need for special education services. This situation was quickly rectified once Dr. Moleski’s assessment was submitted. When the school speech and language provider looked at the quality and quantity of assessments Dr. Moleski’s completed she was astounded.
If anyone is on the fence about whether this type of assessment will be beneficial, consider the cost of not doing it. Quality assessments are imperative for accessing agency and school services, The education, credentials, and experience of the assessor is profoundly important when trying to get good things to happen. Having several special needs children who have been evaluated by many specialists over the years, I consider Dr. Moleski’s credentials not a luxury, but a necessity. It has been my experience that it is critical to submit assessments by someone whose credentials exceeds every other professional. This is precisely why I sought out Dr. Moleski’s services. Dr. Moleski’s professionalism and stellar credentials are indispensible when securing services and placements for a struggling child. If you have to, secure a loan, as it is an investment in your child’s life and future.

Our family is in your debt for providing the comprehensive assessment, accurate diagnosis, and the multitude of valuable recommendations for M. She has been more self assured since she saw you and has been making progress academically. She still struggles of course but now we know why and what to do about it. You have truly provided me with a roadmap for home schooling my girl. She’s even talking about becoming a neuropsychologist. I doubt she realizes that you trained for more years than she’s been alive -- LOL! J. and I are so grateful to have our precious girl on the right track. Our best to you and your family.

You may not remember me but you evaluated me several years ago when I was in high school at Jesuit. I’m now a sophomore on the premed track at _____ and recently asked my parents during spring break if I could see your report. (I’ve taken a couple of psychology courses and was curious). Thanks for all the nice things you had to say about me and of course for the help you gave my parents on my behalf. Thanks also for the encouragement you gave me and for being so nice to a teenager with a “bad attitude.” I remember how convinced I was of my own stupidity because of my learning problems. You made a difference in my life and I thought you should know. P.S. Believe it or not, I still have the Star Wars chess set you gave me. It’s in my dorm room.

I just had the pleasure of reading your report on our student B. It’s by far the best report (psychological or otherwise) I have ever read, and we will be using it and your extensive recommendations as a guide for B.’s IEP goals. Whew! What a relief! You have “nailed” this child’s processing problems as well as his emotional ones, and more importantly, you’ve tied all of the results together and given us educational direction. Dr. Moleski, thanks also for providing a bridge between the school district and B.’s family. Things had devolved to the point that neither side was really listening to the other, and your involvement with this case has significantly changed that dynamic. Through this experience I now appreciate the limitations of our school psychologists, and will not delay in calling you again for our complex cases. I *get* that you cannot provide training for MAs beyond their level of competence, but would you be willing to provide an inservice in basic assessment skills and another for report writing for our district’s school psychs? Thanks again.
